Codex - Print Image Designer
Codex graphical system setup screen |
ALE Codex software allows complex print images to be quickly and easily composed using a modern, intuitive operator interface. A comprehensive suite of print management tools provides advanced production line control, reporting and specialist application facilities:
production line equipment with reporting tools.
Codex Windows based print image design software allowing images to be composed including text in any True Type font, time, date, expiry date, counters, detailed graphics, data from an external source (e.g. scales or barcode reader) and 2D codes. Text may be printed in any point size and may include special character sets. Any print element can be rotated through 90, 180 or 270 degrees to print in any orientation. Print elements may be easily resized and placed by drag-and-drop Graphical tools are provided to set up printhead positions and sensor positions to ensure true WYSIWYG message composition. Once a message has been created the JetSim function allows print simulation from within Codex to check exactly how the printer will print the message. Click here to download Codex brochure.

Barcode validation with Verifix |
Verifix To ensure printed barcode quality meets your requirements, Verifix will scan every barcode printed and send a reject signal should the quality not reach the required standard. The output may be used to stop the line, raise and alarm and/or activate a reject system. All common barcode and 2D code symbologies can be scanned using a range of different barcode scanning equipment. A log is maintained of code quality to help identify where improvements can be made. Entrix message selection by barcode
PADDI address printing software
RiX Reporting Tools |
Entrix Print messages may be automatically selected by using a barcode reader to reduce the possibility of operator error. Entrix allows messages to be selected by either a handheld barcode reader or by a fixed position barcode reader. In batch mode the print message is selected by barcode at the start of the print batch. For production lines handling several different products at the same time, online scanning allows every product to be scanned and the relevant message printed. This facility may be linked to RiX to produce production reports showing how many of each product has been printed in a given time period e.g. shift, day, week or month. Message content may also be scanned in to avoid input errors. Click here to download Entrix brochure.
PADDI PADDI provides an automated solution for printing addresses or other information directly from a database. A print template is created using Codex and linked to the database. All common database formats are supported including CSV, TXT, Excel, Access and ODBC compliant databases. Once the template is created and linked to the data any ALE printer may be used to print envelopes with consecutive address records from the database. High-speed LAN communications ensures high throughput. Click here to download PADDI brochure.
RiX Remote Information eXchange provides a production control platform for ALE ink jet printers, other coding devices and production equipment. Coding errors can be extremely costly and can be avoided by using RiX to simultaneously change the print messages across an entire production line. As well as coding devices RiX can also set up other production line equipment such as check-weighers and barcode readers. As well as controlling the production line, RiX can also gather valuable production data from the devices on the shop floor. This information is logged for management reporting and may be viewed in text or graphical formats. Click here to download RiX automation brochure.
